Project for Sustainable Development through E-learning![]() What is PASDEL?
PASDEL is the acronym for PrActising Sustainable Development through E-Learning. Pasdel bring together 10 partners from 7 European countries to build e-courses in four European languages (Czech, French, Polish and Romanian). The project is supported by the Leonardo Da Vinci Agency of the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Commission DG Education and Culture as well as by local authorities, national ministries and private companies.. What are PASDEL’s goals?
- To use e-learning for innovative and practice education on sustainable development for actors from public and private sectors
- To enable partners to develop modules tackling priority environmental issues relevant for their regional/national challenges - To improve the capacity of public and private organizations to implement sustainable approaches in activities and at all levels of decision-making - To create a European network of actors of private and public sectors which will use, implement and disseminate the work of PASDEL. For whom?
The e-courses will be offered in 5 countries: Romania, Poland, Czech Republic, France and Belgium (Walloon Region) on the themes defined as their priorities: • Sustainable development in private companies: available in all countries Each partner has defined their appropriate target audiences,which include employees of governmental, non-governmental and business sectors, university students, and unemployed people seeking retraining. Why?
Since the Rio Earth Summit, the concept of sustainable development is intended to be integrated as a cross-cutting approach to be integrated into strategies at global and local levels. To reach this ambitious goal, it is essential to offer public and private actors specific, practical training through innovative tools.
How?
Throughout the project, the e-courses will be developed in coopration with local actors from various sectors to ensure the e-courses quality. In each country, The courses will be integrated in an online training platform dedicated to sustainable development themes.
